The Springboro United Church of Christ believes that a church should not only serve its members, but the community as well.

To demonstrate this, the church has taken the initiative, through its Pastor, Terry Carlisle, and one of its Elders, Pam Benjamin, to create an area ministerial association that offers food pantry support, domestic violence counseling and other needed outreach projects as needed.

Springboro UCC is a member of the Springboro Chamber of Commerce, and will soon offer, through the Chamber, a "workplace Domestic Violence" training to area businesses, to reduce the impact that family abuse may have on the workplace, and to help employers assist their workers who may be victims of abuse.

The church also has created a Thanksgiving Eve service which is open to the community. It is soon to embark on a MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) program to offer support to moms of young children, and the church's pastor, a licenced social worker and counselor, offers counseling to families.

It also holds a monthly domestic violence support group for anyone who has questions about family abuse, date violence or emotional control.

On the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m., it offers an informal Grief Support discussion group.
